This church has served the city of Schenectady for more than 100 years. We are community of faith committed to growing and living as disciples of the living God, revealed to us in Jesus Christ. We have a long history of excellent preaching that is relevant to our daily lives, strengthens our faith and challenges our commitment to serve Christ in the world. Our commitments to strong educational and faith enrichment programs for children, youth and adults as well as to choral and instrumental music are long standing. Members of this congregation have been instrumental in seeking to better life locally, nationally and around the globe in partnership with individuals and organizations around us. We believe that our faith is expressed through our actions of grace, generosity and love in service to others.  

As individuals and as the church, we are always open to the movement of God’s Spirit in our lives. This congregation has recently renewed its commitment to worship, education and mission; at the same time we are embracing new ideas that can equip us to worship, learn and serve more faithfully in the 21^st century.
